New Philippine President Proclamation Today

The Proclamation of the new Philippine President and Vice-President is today June 9, 2010 after congressional canvassing committee and the Commission on Elections (Comelec) joint forces in completing the canvassing of all the last May 10, 2010 presidential election. This proclamation is made earlier than the date Senator Enrile said of the proclamation on June 18 after the success of the counting of votes from the automated election.
Elect President “Noy Noy” Benigno Aquino III on his press conference today, said that he would fix the problem of the country by knowing first the current economic status of the country. He will do his best to attract foreign investors by his good and honest governance. He also mentioned that he will make a Freedom of Information law that will allow the media to cover all the activities of his administration.
Aquino who got the most number of votes is proclaimed president by the Commission on Election, Senate office and the congress of the Philippines while the proclaimed new Philippine Vice-President is the former Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay who got the highest votes among the national candidates last May 10.
The date for NoyNoy’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) is on July 20, 2010.
